The Human rights Commission of Belize Elects New Board of Directors
Members Gathered For the Annual General Meeting And Held Elections.

Monday, April 29th, 2019, Belmopan Belize: The Human Rights Commission of Belize would like to inform the general public and all stakeholders via this medium that our 30th Annual General Meeting was held on Saturday, April 27th, 2019. Members from various parts of the country attended. As did new members who have joined our plight.

Founded on December 10th, 1987, by amazing civil rights activists who have given of their life force to the vision and mission of the Human Rights Commission of Belize, this organization now more than ever seeks to be a voice for the most vulnerable.

“We are moving forward in the spirit of inclusiveness and defending the rights of all Belizeans. We have a myriad of human rights issues spanning from Immigration, Labour, Police, Senior Citizen, women’s rights, children’s rights and discrimination in general. We will continue to combat discrimination of any sort. I prefer to speak to priorities after our first Board meeting which has been set for Friday May 17th, 2019.” – President Leo Bradley Jr. stated.

Trustees: 1) Yaya Marin Coleman 2) Sharon Enriquez and 3) Tracey Robateau

The Human Rights Commission hereby invites all individuals or organizations in Belize to support and collaborate in the pursuance of the mission, vision, goals and objectives in defence of human rights of the people of Belize.

Our Mision: To improve the quality of life through continuous education and changes in public policies in order to create a culture of human rights in Belize.
